• ✓ Remote Testing: If taking the test remotely, you may be asked to show your ID to the webcam after the initial pre-test checks.

To ensure the test runs smoothly, your equipment must meet these standards:

• 🌐 Browser: Google Chrome is the recommended and supported browser. Microsoft Edge (version 93+) is also supported on Windows. Chrome is the only supported browser for Mac and Chromebooks.
• 📶 Internet: A reliable network connection with sufficient bandwidth is required.
• 🎧 Headset (Listening & Speaking): Must be over-ear and closed-back (covering the entire ear). Must use a USB or standard stereo connection; Bluetooth headsets are not supported. Noise-cancelling headsets are highly recommended.
• 🎙️ Microphone (Speaking): Use a "boom" microphone (on a flexible stalk) attached to the headset. Do not use the computer’s built-in microphone.

• 📌 Login Details: You will need your Username, Password, and Institution ID. These are case-sensitive. Note that five incorrect login attempts will lock your account.
• 🔧 Technical Check: It is vital to complete the "Technical Check" on the Metrica portal at least 24 hours before your test to confirm your system and audio are working.
• 🤖 AI Invigilation Checks: Before starting, you must complete the following via your webcam:
  • Terms of Use: Accept the invigilation partner's terms and privacy policy.
  • Screen Share: You must allow "Entire Screen" sharing to proceed.
  • Face Capture: A test-day photo will be taken. Ensure your head and shoulders are visible, you are facing forward, and your face is not covered (e.g., by hair).

• 🎥 Environment: You must remain within the camera frame at all times.
• 📅 Test Window: The test session lasts for 14 days, and modules can be completed in any order during this window.
• 🛠️ Troubleshooting: If the test freezes, press F5 to refresh or CTRL + F5 for a hard refresh. If issues persist, close the browser and log back in; your progress is autosaved (Writing responses save every 10 seconds).
