Evaluation Criteria
- Academic Excellence: Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent international academic achievements. Transcripts and diplomas required.
- TEFL Passion & Commitment: A compelling statement of purpose outlining the candidate's dedication to teaching English as a foreign language.
- Teaching Potential: Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references highlighting the candidate's teaching capabilities.
- Financial Need: Documentation of financial situation demonstrating need for scholarship support.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Background, experiences, or perspectives that contribute to diversity in the TEFL field.
Evaluation Weightage
The scholarship committee evaluates applications based on the following criteria weightage:
Academic Excellence (40%) - GPA, academic achievements, relevant coursework
TEFL Passion (30%) - Statement of purpose, demonstrated passion
Teaching Potential (20%) - Letters of recommendation, teaching assessments
Financial Need (10%) - Financial situation, need for support
