A2 Key for Schools and A2 Key
Cambridge English Qualifications
Proof that learners can communicate in simple situations
A2 Key and A2 Key for Schools are internationally recognised qualifications that show learners have the basic English skills needed to communicate in simple, everyday situations. These exams are designed to support learners at an elementary level and help them develop confidence in using English for real-life purposes.
The exams assess all four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, ensuring a balanced evaluation of a learner’s overall English ability. Candidates learn how to understand simple written and spoken information, express themselves in basic conversations, and write short, clear texts.
Achieving A2 Key or A2 Key for Schools gives learners a strong foundation in English and prepares them to progress to higher-level qualifications, such as B1 Preliminary and B1 Preliminary for Schools, supporting their academic and personal language development.
