Eligibility Criteria
Mature Student Entry Route (MSER)
- You must be aged over 21 years and pass equivalent of Papers F2 & F3 within two years from the date of first eligible ACCA examination session.
Professional Examination Route (PER)
- 2 A levels & passes in 3 passes in O levels.
- 2 year B.Com / BA / B.Sc (from a recognized institution)
Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification
- ACCA's CAT qualification will be eligible for direct entry to Skills level of ACCA's professional examination.
- After completion of CAT Papers 1 to 5 ACCA qualification can be started from Knowledge module.

Examination Rules
- Students have ten years to complete all examination papers from the date of registration.
- The pass mark for all papers is 50%.
- Up to 4 papers can be taken in a single examination session.
- There are two manual examination sessions per year - one in June and one in December.
Computer Based Examination (CBE)
Students have the option to sit Computer Based Examinations (CBE) of F1,F2 & F3 of the knowledge module and first four papers (T1,T2,T3&T4) of CAT which are held every month.
- Flexibility - You are not restricted to June and December paper-based examination sessions as you can sit CBE at any time of year. CBE also offers flexibility for re-sits, which you can take at any time. There is no restriction on the number of times you can resit the examinations by CBE.
- Instant feedback - Your result is displayed on the computer screen at the end of the examination.
- Results are uploaded by the licensed centre and will be transferred to your ACCA account within 72 hours.

CAT Qualification
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification is structured and examined by ACCA (see ACCA section for further details about ACCA), and offers you the opportunity to further your career options.
In studying for the CAT qualification, you may wish to start a career in finance, gain recognition for the skills you have already developed in accountancy or accelerate your progression to the ACCA professional scheme. CAT is the stepping stone for all of these aims. It also seeks to help you develop the skills needed for successful study in higher education.
Entry requirements
No formal academic qualifications, 16 years of age is necessary to enroll for a CAT.
Exemptions
Once you have completed all of CAT papers, you will automatically be transferred onto ACCA's professional scheme and will be awarded exemptions from Knowledge Module papers F1- F3. On transferring, you will not be charged an additional registration fee, nor will you be charged for exemptions awarded for the Part 1 of ACCA (UK).

- By 31 January - for June exams
- By 31 July - for December exams

Course progression
Successful completion of the first five CAT papers allows you to commence the ACCA professional qualification at the Knowledge Module level. Completion of all CAT levels means you will be exempted from the three Knowledge Module papers.
